Accommodation

At Language Link, we understand that where you live and what you eat are equally as important as your lessons when you study abroad. We offer four main types of accommodation and, whatever you choose, we will do our utmost to ensure that your temporary home meets your personal needs. Alternatively, you may arrange your accommodation independently, if you so wish.

1. Family Home-stay
Available in Moscow, St Petersburg

Staying in a real Russian home is the best possible way to get to know Russian culture, Russian people and, of course, Russian food! Students who select this option live in the apartment of Russian hosts, usually a middle-aged lady or a couple whose adult children have left home. Our hosts see their guests as part of their family, and will be keen to chat with you and help you improve your Russian. You will have a bedroom to yourself, and share the bathroom and kitchen in the apartment with your host(s). You may opt for breakfast only ("bed and breakfast"), or breakfast and dinner ("half board"). Students living in home-stay have full access to their hosts' telephone, although international phone cards should be used for inter-city or international calls (international phone cards can be bought easily in Russia, and allow calls to Europe and America for less than 10 cents/minute). Home-stays are generally located 20 - 45 minutes away from school by public transport.

In Moscow we have two administrators to care about arranging the host family accommodation, Svetlana and Tatiana.

2. Hotel
Available in Moscow, St Petersburg

Language Link can help you arrange suitable hotel accommodation in St Petersburg. You may choose to live in the very centre of the city, among busy streets and numerous nightclubs and restaurants, or, if you prefer quiet places, you may stay in a hotel surrounded by ponds and parks. Whatever you choose, you will live in a comfortable modern room not more than 30 minutes away from the school by public transport.

3. Hostel
Available in Moscow and St Petersburg

Hostel accommodation is the best option for organized youth groups, coming for a short period of time. For them we choose the best hostels located near Language Link’s facilities in both cities.

4. Rented Apartment
Available in St Petersburg only

If you select this accommodation option, you will live in a standard furnished apartment for one or two people, with a bathroom, kitchen, and your own bedroom. Board is not included in this option and you will be responsible for preparing your own meals. All apartments are equipped with a telephone, bed linen, and kitchen essentials (refrigerator, cooker, pots, crockery etc). Most have a television, but washing machines are not guaranteed. Apartments are generally located 20 - 45 minutes away from school by public transport.
