Teacher Training

What I want before the program?

  • I teach Russian language and literature overseas. I haven’t been to Moscow for a while, and I’m interested to know what has changed in the worlds of Russian literature, art and teaching methodology.
  • I live abroad and Russian is my native language. Why don’t I try my hand at teaching it?

What I can now do after the program?

    • I can use new textbooks and study guides as basic or additional material for lessons.
    • I can utilise new technologies for teaching lexis and grammar.
    • I can let my students know what is happening in the cultural, political and economic lives of modern day Moscow.
    • I can include the works of contemporary poets and writers in my literature courses.

      About programme 2 – Life in post-perestroika Russia is fast-paced and dynamic. Everything changes so quickly, from politics to the economy to culture. Every year new names, new leaders, new scientific research, new novels, plays and theatres appear. This programme, which is designed especially for Russian teachers in foreign universities and schools, gives you the opportunity to “grab” time and experience modernity. You will learn about new methodology for teaching Russian as a foreign language, and you will be able to visit theatres and museums, attend lectures on contemporary literature and listen to modern poets, economists, politicians and academics.
